Movie Review: The Loft (’15 Erik Van Looy)

The premise of the film draws an interesting hype to consider. Watching the trailer, the film makes you wonder, excited and look forward on how things were transpiring. But. The film fails to do so. The way it was crafted is flawed. The script is problematic. The transition is a little mess. And to be frank, it is so hard to root for the characters involved because their character profiles are cringe worthy. The film never really reach its goal. It feels like we are crossing a circle. The film fails to sustain interest and thrill. It was just sex, death, nastiness, violence and nothing really groundbreaking. Such a disappointed, at least for me. I was left cold and not caring at all after the film’s end credits. 4
