Movie Review: Time Out Of Mind (’15 Oren Moverman)

Richard Gere shines in a film that I did not expect to pull such strong performance from its lead. The plot isn’t grand nor groundbreaking. It’s simple but authentic. But the biggest success the film could boast for is the stellar performance of Richard Gere. His nuanced delivery and impeccable layered performance is probably one of the most notable performance I have seen this year so far. He was so good. While the film needed more time for its build up and lacks certain solid bases in parts, it was still a decent effort in terms of writing and technical solidity! Time out of mind is an unexpected strong piece of work from Oren Moverman and gave Richard Gere at least a memorable character to appreciate at the end of the day. Go check it out. 7
