Movie Review: The Walk (’15 Robert Zemeckis)

The Walk‘s first half could be a tad draggingly boring but once the film picked up, it was actually an exhilirating experience. To be particular that “the walk” scene just gave me a huge variety of emotions in me. I don’t know if I ended up being feeling sick, or excited, or nervous, or that sudden adrenaline rush of rooting for him to accomplish that God-damn goal of the lead. Joseph Gordon Levitt shines bright here. His portrayal is quite layered and that emotions that he showed is exactly what the character needed to translate whatever feelings he had especially during the climax of the film. All in all, it was actually a decent to good film with little dull moments here and there. 7
