The track record of The Voice coaches are this: Adam will make some dumb decision, Blake will form his country army, Christina’s team is most power vocalist and then Pharrell will appeal to emotions via some dated song choices.
Tonight, the last set battles were done tonight and it proved some of them happening the last two nights.
And let us prepare for the coming of the wrecking ball. Yup, Miley Cyrus is the key advisor for the Knockouts round. That will be interesting.
Anyway, here’s how the night went.
Laith Al-Saadi [vs] Matt Tedder
Honky Tonk Woman
– Obviously, Laith is the better vocalist but I feel like both were merely cannon fodder at this point. The battle was decent and forgettable. 6
WINNER: Laith Al-Saadi
ELIMINATED: Matt Tedder
Caity Peters [vs] Joe Vivona
– Yikes! The song choice alone is so cringe worthy, I thought it didn’t really do anything for a battle. Joe, I thought was the better of the two but Caity had more character to her tone. Still. This is just. No. 5
WINNER: Caity Peters
ELIMINATED: Joe Vivona
Brittany Kennell [vs] Trey O’Dell
– While for me, neither had a stand out vocal performance, Trey held his own in here which is surprising. Brittany was fine but to be honest, I was glued more on Trey. 6.5
WINNER: Brittany Kennell
STOLEN: Trey O’Dell (Team Christina)
