Britney Spears has been performing on Vegas doing her sold out shows. After her let ys say not so successful collaboration with Iggy Azalea (“Pretty Girls” anyone?), Britney is making a comeback with a really better tune. “Make Me”, another collaboration, is an R&B, EDM infused single that celebrates Britney’s sweet voice. No, this isn’t extravagant or bubblegum pop tune like “Toxic” or “Sometimes” or “Circus” but I actually like this. The backtrack reminds me of Taylor Swift/B.O.B’s “Both of us” but I digress. The infusion of G-Eazy’s rap also added texture on this single.

Postmodern Jukebox is at it again and they just called American Idol alum once again to join them with this awesome cover of Britney Spears’ hit. Assisted by Haley Reinhart, the cover is a jazzed twist of “Ooops.. I did it again!”. I know this will be a polarizing one, but I love this cover. Haley sounded fantastic as usual!

I knew this song will drop as soon as that Giorgio Moroder collaboration of Britney leaked. Haha. Not that I’m complaining but the hype of this Iggy and Britney collaboration has been in the air for weeks now and that got me excited. I love me some Britney. Haha. The song which was reportedly supposedly intended for Little Mix or they co-wrote it, either way, sounded yes more like appropriate for a girl group. Nonetheless, there is a retro funk in this tune that I like. But it is not a Meghan Trainor retro-pop.. more on 80’s vibe with touch of rap inflections here and there. The song is catchy at times but loses momentum in parts as well. Did I expect more? Maybe. But this is quite decent. The song actually reminds me of Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback girl” no?

Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Britney is baaack! Haha. Of course this is before the Britney-Iggy collaboration will happen anytime soon now. This is an electro-pop track collaboration of Giorgio Moroder and Britney Spears. Actually the track is more of a Suzanne Vega song cover. Remember “Tom’s Diner”? Yup, same title, same tune.. only this time there is a more refreshing, upbeat and EDM feel of the song. Not to mention, Britney Spears lending her voice to the tune. She’s back!!! Yay.
